*520  $aSAMMENDRAG/SUMMARY: This report presents soil statistics for agricultural land in the county of Sogn og Fjordane. Soil data from the soil survey form the basis of the statistics. The survey was conducted according to standard procedures. The mapping is done as a sample survey on 0.9 km2 plots, in a predefined 9x9 km2 grid system. Hence, the statistics for Sogn og Fjordane is an estimate. The area distribution of a number of topics is presented (both in decares (1 decare = 0,1 hectare) and percent). This report estimates that 18 % of the cultivated land in Sogn og Fjordane has very good soil quality, and 57 % of the cultivated land has good soil quality. In general, the cultivated land is well suited for agriculture. The major limiting factors on the cultivated land are shallow depth to bedrock and high content of organic matter.
