I biogassanlegg for gjødselmed totalomblandet tankreaktor (CSTR) bør innblandingen være på maksimalt 20 vol%. Meddenne innblandingen kan en doble volumetrisk metanproduksjon.In this study anaerobic digestion of fresh de-watered fish sludge (15,9% DM) from a smolthatchery blended with liquid manure from dairy cattle was investigated in four laboratory-scalereactors under mesophilic conditions (33⁰C). The inoculum was taken from a biogas plant thattreats liquid manure from diary cattle. The simplest method for achieving a stable biogasprocess with fish sludge in a CSTR-type reactor, and to fully realize its energy potential, will beto treat it in combination with another feedstock with a higher C/N ratio than fish sludge. ForCSTR-type AD reactors that are based on manure, a mixture with fish sludge should bemaximum 20% (volume) fish sludge. This blend can double volumetric methane production.
